It can be a struggle to think of bathroom ideas if you don’t have too much available space – but don’t worry help is at hand. We have worked with all shapes and sizes over the years and have put together a list of things that you may not yet have thought of, so you can make the most of the space you have.

Have a Wallpaper Feature Wall

You will notice that feature walls have been all the rage in living rooms, but they can also work for bathrooms. Having a striking wall can distract from the small space and spark another interest. The only thing is that you would need to of course make sure that the material used could cope with wet and damp. It’s one of the more unusual bathroom ideas out there, but one that definitely works.

Use the Same Tiles on the Floor as the Walls

Using the same tiles on the floor as the walls is a great way to create the illusion of space. If you were to opt for something like a nice natural stone – you can create a spa type feel which would be a great touch. If that’s a little on the neutral side for you – you can brighten things up with some colourful tiles and other fixtures.

Used Tall Tiered Storage

There are lots of great storage options out there these days, and if you go with a tall tiered storage approach – it’s a great way to make sure that all of your bits and bobs are kept out of the way, but also makes things a little more practical. They are usually pretty lightweight too, so you can move them about with ease whenever necessary.

The Mirror Effect

Mirrors are a great way to make any room look bigger than it is, they help to create the illusion of space. If you opt for a mirror that is floor to ceiling, that will definitely make your bathroom feel grander. Alternatively, a tall mirror that has a nice trim with flattering lighting over it will also do the trick.

Wall-Hung Units

Last of our bathroom ideas for small spaces is wall-hung units. When you have fittings that have the perception they are floating – it leaves more floor space which in turn makes your bathroom look bigger. You can also get floating fittings where there is some storage thrown in for good measure, which will serve a dual purpose.
Hopefully with some of our bathroom ideas, your room will look bigger in no time. If you would like some help with upgrading or designing your bathroom, please don’t hesitate to get in touch for a free quote.
